Asbestos Testing & Assessment
Before any removal work begins, a sample-based assessment confirms whether suspected materials actually contain asbestos. This is also referred to as an HMBI — Hazardous Materials Building Inspection — survey. Testing typically takes a few days for lab results to come back.
Residential Asbestos Removal
Safe removal of asbestos-containing materials from homes, including popcorn ceilings, vinyl floor tiles, pipe and duct insulation, and drywall compound. Licensed contractors use proper containment, negative air pressure systems, and personal protective equipment throughout the process.
Commercial Asbestos Abatement
Larger-scale abatement for commercial properties, rental buildings, and renovation projects, completed in compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and disposed of at approved facilities.
Vermiculite Insulation Removal
Many Kamloops attics still contain Zonolite-brand vermiculite insulation, some of which is contaminated with asbestos fibres. This requires specialized removal procedures given the volume of material typically involved.
Mould Remediation
Asbestos and mould issues frequently appear together in older homes, particularly after water damage or in poorly ventilated basements and crawl spaces. Mould remediation services are available through the same network of local providers.
